Lets run! It is tough, or is it?
Lets run! It must be tough.
Will I be able to finish it?
But I am not as fit as you?
I don’t even exercise?
My children to do it when they grow, but I can’t .
Don’t know anyone there, I will be alone.
What will others think when they see me going like a tortoise?
Lets run! It is tough, or is it?
I was bombarded with many more questions last week when Lets run, CG’s First Runners Community, featured me. They called me runner when I was just running for myself.
*They called me runner when I was just running for myself.
**They called me runner when I was just running for myself.
It is not a typo mistake. You are reading it right. That is how they operate. Yes, you are still reading it right. They operate that way.
So much of enthusiasm and cooperation in and around team. They don’t let anyone feel left out. Other than being part of two 100 days of running, I participated in the marathon organised by them twice. And you can take it from me it was well managed and disciplined. Best part being always on time.
Source of all these questions is this one page from lets run
A kindergarten teacher, part time house maker and mother of two. Yes, I do Run around my kids at home and school, but that is all.
– NOPE our Featured runners is a strong girl who took 100 days running challenge and dusted it.
Lets run, CG’s First Runners Community – they call themselves Passionate about running. They have some fixed days for Runs /Workouts. All Runs / Workouts schedule are posted on their Facebook page.
This is my experience with the run. I grew stronger after every attempt.
Now for those who are tempted to make an amazing memory, I have good news, Lets run is organizing a bigger event this time by the name The Great Chhattisgarh Run – TGCG. It is on 17th November 2019.
Now coming back to questions asked by people who got to know about me being featured runner.
My answer to them would be:
It is tough? —> It is not, if you really want to do it.
Will I be able to finish it? —> Yes, you will for sure. You will get a lot of encouragement en route.
But, I am not as fit as you? —>You can not judge your fitness before trying. Simple.
Don’t even exercise? —> It’s ok, you can always start it.
I want my children to do it when they grow, but I can’t. —> You can, so can your child. To increase your comfort, let me tell you, my son did his first 6 km at the age of 6 the same day when I was doing mine. My daughter did her first 6 km skating much before she turned 6. Lets run events could be safest exposure you could give to your child.
Don’t know anyone there, I will be alone. —> No, you will not be alone. There will be many to give you company if you really need it. Else take your friends and family. Marathon could be a good theme based meeting point for your circle.
What will others think when they see me going like a tortoise? —> If you think you will be a tortoise, don’t worry, the event will stay open till the last tortoise crosses the finish line.
You might find me there to cheer you up, if at all you are one of those tortoises. Hoping to meet you in the upcoming event.
Just do it. Give it a try to answer yourself.
Every man’s life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another.
